I work at the intersection of Critical Indigenous Studies and the Law and Society field, doing community-based oral history with the Tsilhqot'in people of Xeni (Xeni Gwet'in) in relation to the first Indigenous title and rights case in Canada to result in declaration of title (Tsilhqot'in Nation v. B.C.). Related projects include papers on the meanings of "oral tradition" and "time immemorial" in relation to Indigenous cases in Canadian courtrooms. Linguistic and cultural revitalization are at the core of all of these projects.
